Grace Han was awarded the fellowship to conduct a video series of interviews with female designers. Despite the fact that in 2015, 54% of working designers were women, they remain far less visible than their male counterparts. The proposed interview series would explore female designers’ work and practice, their experiences of being viewed differently due to gender, their perspectives on the term “female designer” and whether it's problematic, their career trajectories and inspirations, and their views on the responsibilities of designers.
